What are the advantages of accredited calibration?
Accreditation by DAkkS confirms that we perform our work competently and according to the highest technical standards in accordance with the requirements of internationally valid standards, legal foundations and relevant rules. Accreditation creates confidence in the work of the calibration laboratory and enables you to assess how good your pressure measuring device really is.

When do you need a accredited calibration?
DAkkS-accredited calibration procedures are regularly checked by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS).
As an official certificate, a calibration certificate with DAkkS accreditation symbol proves traceability to national and international standards.
Through agreements with ILAC (MRA), calibration certificates marked with the accreditation symbol are also internationally recognized and legally binding.
The accreditation body ensures conformity with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025.
For companies certified according to IATF 16949, the standard requires an accredited calibration for all external calibrations. With our calibration certificate according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 this requirement is fully met.
Companies that want to rely on their measuring equipment are able to judge how good their measuring equipment is. On request, we can issue a statement of conformity. This is only possible with DAkkS calibration.
How does HeMaTech calibrate?
We calibrate according to DKD-R 6-1. The calibration procedure, the number of measuring points as well as the calculation of the influencing variables are defined by this guideline. As a strictly traceable calibration, calibration according to DKD-R 6-1 is internationally recognized and enjoys a high reputation.
A calibration according to DKD-R 6-1 (DAkkS) takes more measuring points into account than a factory calibration. This way, you get really reliable statements on deviations in measuring accuracy over the entire span.

What is the difference between a factory calibration and the DAkkS-accredited calibration?
In contrast to DAkkS-accredited calibration, the procedure for factory calibrations is not controlled by an external body. Factory calibrations are rather subject to the self-commitment of the calibration laboratory to a correct statement of measurement uncertainty, traceability and careful laboratory work.
The main difference between factory and DAkkS accredited calibrations is the national and international recognition of the calibration certificates.
Another difference is the procedural effort. This is significantly lower for a factory calibration. Therefore, it is also less expensive than a DAkkS calibration.
With a factory calibration, fewer measuring points are approached and the evaluation of the measurement results is not as extensive as with an accredited calibration.
Every electronic device is subject to aging processes and is exposed to operating and environmental conditions.
Whether and to what extent this affects accuracy, precision and stability can only be determined by calibration, i.e. comparison with a higher-quality reference standard.
Calibration thus serves the qualitative safeguarding of measurement results. This is because every calibration is a comparison with a significantly better reference.
High-quality measuring instruments used in production should be subjected to calibration at regular intervals. This is the only way to ensure that it performs correct measurements.
What happens if deviations are detected?
In this case, the instrument can/must be brought back to the given or desired specifications by means of an adjustment (intervention in the instrument).
This is not part of a standard calibration process and is therefore not performed by many calibration laboratories - also because the specific knowledge about the respective instrument is often missing.
In the course of preparing the factory certificate for leak testers, HeMaTech technicians make any necessary adjustments. In this context, minor maintenance or repair work can also be carried out immediately. Although this is not part of the calibration, it ensures the operation of the test instrument.
The certificate from HeMaTech is therefore more than just a calibration certificate.
It is a promise that your instrument will again operate properly and within specifications.
