Fully and semi-automated systems
Leak testing facilities can be distinguished between fully and semi-automated systems.
Fully automated leak testing systems
Fully automated leak testing systems automatically feed the fixture with units under test and perform the test independently. The units under test are taken from a transport system using a robot or a gantry and supplied to the leak testing system. The results are stored and can be evaluated at any time. PLC, parameters and failure recording is adapted individually. So leak testing systems can be integrated in the production process and used directly in the assembling line.
Semi-automated leak testing systems
Semi-automated leak testing systems allow manual loading and unloading of the fixture. Even the tightening tools are operated by hand. Further manual operations are possible if requested. Particularly for lab applications or small numbers semi-automated systems allow considearble flexibility in adpation to different parts under test. Especially small series of parts or single parts can be submitted to a leak test.
Leak testing systems in serial production
In serial production there are specific requirements to a leak testing system like high accuracy and reliability, short testing cycles but as well careful handling of the parts and good economic performance. in automated leak testing of serial parts especially the differential pressure method using compressed air has proven its pratical applicability as it fulfills all teh requirements above.
We at HeMaTech relay on the highly accurate and economical leak testers 3925-0060 or 65eco. Furtherrmore the flow testers 3925-0160 and the volume testers 3925-0360 can be integrated.
